Choosing a Quality Diamond
When you are looking for a quality diamond, think of the 4 Cs.
How valuable a diamond is depends on these 4Cs.
The larger the diamond, the better the cut, the clearer the diamond
and the more colorless (for white diamonds) the better the quality of
the diamond.
To choose a quality diamond, go for the loose diamonds. Once diamond
is mounted, its flaws can be hidden.
On a fixed budget, you could get a bigger diamond if you compromise
on the clarity, cut and color.
If you want all factors to be good, then you might have to settle for
a smaller diamond.
Also, for resale value, the color and clarity should match. No point
getting a D,E or F color diamond with a clarity of I3. If you want a D,E
or F color diamond for investment purposes, the clarity should be VVS1
to flawless.
The cut should by class1 or class2. The ideal cut is best. A
round diamond is the easiest to resell, if that is what you plan to do
eventually.
Diamond certification is very important.
